Kate Brubeck, retreat host and facilitator

Kate Brubeck (no relation to Dave), is an all-purpose Bay Area writing consultant--teacher, writer, editor, coach.She first came to Italy at the age of ten, the child of a diplomat father and adventurer mother. Since earning an MFA in creative writing from Sarah Lawrence College, she has pursued a wide range of language-related interests, from equipping non-native speakers with English at a non-profit for refugee and immigrant women, to midwifing memoirs, short stories, dissertations, novels, spoken-word performances, and more. Sondra Hall, nido co-conspirator

Sondra Hall founded an after-school creative writing program for kids called, "Take My Word For It!" which sparked young writers' imaginations for thirteen years in the S.F. Bay area, Boston, and the D.C. area. She developed and teaches a series of creative writing classes for adults called "Escape to the Page." Now happily living amongst the sheep, cows, and vineyards of Sonoma County,Sondra is also a freelance writer and budding memoirist.
